About Jason Sumpter

I believe education should be fueled by deep passion, curiosity, and personal connection. Science isn’t meant to be dry facts on a page or slide — with the right mentality, it’s a remarkable adventure, and it’s my job as an educator to make that adventure clear, engaging, memorable, and meaningful for my audience.

Teaching is much more than just covering academic material; it’s about inspiring, sparking curiosity, and building confidence in your audience. I strive to explain concepts clearly, guide learners through confusion with patience, and connect lessons to the real world so that science feels alive, useful, and fun. Whether through storytelling, interactive explanations, or thoughtful examples, I aim to transform complex topics into ideas anyone can understand.

Every learner is unique, which is why I value creativity, flexibility, and empathy in my approach. I believe in meeting learners where they are, adapting lessons to different styles, and showing that I truly care about their success. When students are well supported, they not only learn the academic content — they also develop valuable problem-solving and critical thinking skills that carry far beyond the course and into every part of their lives.

Science has always been one of my greatest passions, and through Sumptin’ Scientific, I can freely share that passion with learners of all ages. My philosophy is simple: make science clear, make it exciting, and make it matter.

He goes over the material until we understand what we should. Lots of information to remember but with a professor like him it makes it a bit more easy to pass biology. If I had to take over this course, I would definitely take his class again."
